2008 OVATION AwardsThe IABC/Toronto OVATION Awards is the chapter’s annual awards program. It is open to all communications practitioners in the Greater Toronto Area. New this year we have added four awards to specifically recognize IABC/ Toronto chapter members. |
Entries are currently being judged with the results being announced in April, 2008.
The OVATION Awards began in 1985 when Master Communicator, Ken Cherney was asked to lead a team for the IABC/Toronto chapter to examine the existing awards program, which was then called the Toronto Accolades Program.
After some consideration, the team determined the rules and regulations upon which the OVATION Awards program was based.
The IABC/Toronto OVATION Awards offers the communications profession an opportunity to present its best work. It advertises the excellence of individual award winners while fostering a greater appreciation of the communications profession.
The OVATION Awards encourages all levels of the profession, from junior to veteran practitioners, to excel in their work and to garner the praise of their colleagues, their clients and their organizations. Who can enter? OVATION is open to members and non-members of IABC/Toronto. Join strategists, managers, independents, practitioners; corporate, government and not-for-profit communicators; agency executives; photographers; graphic artists; creative conceptualists; tacticians and students to be part of Toronto’s best practices.
All submissions are confidential and are reviewed by a panel of senior level communication professionals. Judges score each submission and evaluate an entry based on the information supplied and winners are determined by the highest total scoring.
