That's a Wrap - Another IABC/Toronto Board Year Comes to a Close

The IABC/Toronto Board year ends on June 30 and another begins July 1. For the last e-Lert of the 2010/11 year, I wanted to give a final shout out to the many people that made this past year successful.

First, I'd like to thank our 234 volunteers. This fine group of people dug in and got the work done to create and implement our programs and services. Led by a talented Board of directors, our volunteer teams did their best to make sure our members had a valuable experience.

Next, thanks to our sponsors for supporting the chapter this year - your contributions made a significant difference. Applause and gratitude to: CNW Group, Fusion Design Group, Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA), Freeman Communications, The Canadian Press Images and News Canada.

Thanks most of all to our members who make use of all that IABC/Toronto has to offer - the events, the networking, the learning, the recognition. IABC/Toronto doesn't work without your participation, insights and feedback.

As we look forward to a new year, let's keep working together to make IABC/Toronto the professional association that every GTA communicator wants to be a part of.

It has been an honour to serve as your President this year. Stay tuned in the fall for a recap of our activities in the annual report.

All the best,
Carrie MacAfee
IABC/Toronto President
