With so many categories, there is an OVATION Award category that’s right for you!

This is your opportunity to be recognized for your outstanding work in Social Media; Social Responsibility Initiatives; Media Campaigns; Print and/or Electronic Publications; Writing; Special Events and so much more… if you have done excellent work in the field of communications…we have a category ideal to celebrate your accomplishments!

Not sure where to start? Consider this: In the last three (3) years, have you done any of the following?

  • Launched and/or redesigned a publication (internal/external) with the objective of increasing readership?
  • Achieved media awareness and or a specific Media Relations Points (MRP) score?
  • Informed readers/audience of new and/or rebranded initiatives?
  • Incorporated a new communications tool to increase participation/knowledge/readership of a target audience?
  • Made use of communications to change/improve a behavior of a target group?
  • Written or created creative copy to entice readers/media to find out more about product/service/client?

Who can enter the OVATION Awards?

From junior to veteran practitioners, the OVATION Awards encourages all levels of the profession to excel in their work and to garner the praise of their colleagues, their clients and their organizations.

OVATION is open to all IABC/Toronto members AND non-member communication professionals located in the Greater Toronto Area. Join strategists, managers, independents, practitioners; corporate, government and not-for-profit communicators; agency executives; photographers; graphic artists; creative conceptualists; tacticians and students to be part of Toronto’s best practices.

Please note that ALL entries into the 2010 OVATION Awards are kept COMPLETELY CONFIDENTIAL, with only winners being announced. Winners are determined by using an established scorecard – the number of winners is based on the number of entries that surpass a minimum score. Entries do not compete against each other.

IABC/Toronto OVATION Award of Excellence winners receive an elegant glass sculpture designed by Canadian glass blower Kelly Lowe. IABC/Toronto OVATION Award of Merit winners will be awarded a plaque or certificate of recognition. All 2010 OVATION Awards will be presented at a gala event, held the evening of May 6, 2010.
