The IABC/Toronto Communicator of the Year award is presented annually to an executive in the Greater Toronto Area who exemplifies the role of a leader in communications.
IABC/Toronto is searching for this year’s Communicator of the Year and we want to hear from you. Is there a leader who has demonstrated strategic communications excellence and deserves our chapter’s recognition?

To nominate a candidate for IABC/Toronto’s Communicator of the Year, simply submit a short summary statement on why the nominee is deserving and email it to toronto-pastpresident@iabc.com. The deadline for nominations is December 1, 2010.
Nominations will be kept confidential and not made public at anytime; however, a judge from the panel of Past Presidents may follow up to ask additional questions about your nomination. Nominators do not necessarily need to be affiliated with the nominee.

IABC/Canada survey sheds light on prosperous market for professional communicators
IABC/Canada recently released to members the results of the 2009 IABC/Canada Salary Survey of communication professionals. The survey, conducted by Leger Marketing for IABC/Canada West, IABC/Canada East and IABC/Toronto between December 2009 and February 2010, asked professional communicators key questions about income, benefits, employment and job satisfaction in today’s economy.
Key Survey Findings included areas such as Salary Levels; Job Security, Performance and Downsizing; Job Seeking and Job Satisfaction. The survey results also include Toronto-specific data!
Complete survey results and salary figures are available only to IABC members on the IABC – Canada website. You will need your membership login information to access the results.
