Nominate IABC/Toronto's 2010 Communicator of the Year

IABC/Toronto invites you to nominate a top-level business leader as our 2010 Communicator of the Year (COTY).

The COTY Award is presented annually to a Greater Toronto Area-based executive who strategically demonstrates excellence in communication. 

COTY nominations are open to IABC members & non-members, and the deadline is December 1, 2010.

FYI: Nominators do not necessarily need to be affiliated with the nominee.

Step Up and Stand Out for the IABC/Toronto 2011 OVATION Awards

The OVATION Awards, IABC/Toronto’s prestigious awards program, recognizes communications excellence in the Greater Toronto Area. With more than 19 categories to choose from, the OVATION Awards give communication practitioners – from junior to veteran – the chance to show everyone how they stand out.

Entering the IABC/Toronto OVATION Awards is as easy as one, two, three!

1. Step Up to the IABC/Toronto website and download the OVATION 2011 Call for Entries.

You can also visit the IABC/Toronto OVATION Awards page for further information, including key dates and deadlines, past winning entries and contact information for the OVATION Awards team. http://toronto.iabc.com/recognition/ovation-awards/

2. Tell the judges how you Stand Out.

The 2011 OVATION Awards Call for Entries is your go-to guide for preparing and submitting an entry. The step-by-step instructions will keep you on track while you highlight your successes and achievements.

3. Submit your entry by the deadline!

Entries will be accepted starting January 10, 2011 (enter early for a discounted rate) and the final deadline for entries is Friday, February 25, 2011.

What’s in it for you?

As an OVATION Award winner you will have the opportunity to showcase your skills and abilities to your colleagues and the broader communications community. You will be recognized at the OVATION Awards Gala on May 26, 2011, and be featured in a special issue of Communicator.

The IABC/Toronto 2011 OVATION Awards are open to all GTA communications practitioners, including non-members.

Demonstrate your commitment to the community and your profession with a Bobbie Resnick Philanthropy Award

As a consummate communications professional, volunteer, educator and mentor, Bobbie Resnick, ABC, APR, MC, IABC Fellow, has been a communications and community leader for more than 50 years. The Bobbie Resnick Philanthropy Award recognizes outstanding leadership, contribution to the communications profession and service to the community.

For consideration, a team or individual must demonstrate improvement to their community through an in-house program or serving as a volunteer to an existing cause.

There is no charge to enter. Entries will be accepted until Thursday, March 31, 2011

IABC/Toronto Student Members - we have an award for you!

IABC/Toronto’s Student of the Year Award recognizes student members who exhibit leadership and excellence in communication. The student award recipients possess creativity, strong writing skills and passion in both their academic and volunteer projects.

Only IABC/Toronto Student Members can enter the Student of the Year Award. The winner will receive a cash prize of $500.

There is no charge to enter. Entries will be accepted until Thursday, March 31, 2011
