Writer’s block be gone! Media writing breakfast workshop

November 22, 2016 @ 7:30 am - 9:30 am

November 22, 2016 | 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.
Mattamy Athletic Centre at the Gardens, Eggy’s Summit, 3rd Floor, 50 Carlton Street, Toronto

Unlock your writing potential

Do you need to sharpen your writing skills? Is influencing your readers, listeners or reviewers an important part of your role? Do you want to motivate your audiences into action? If so, come and join Jane Stokes in a 90-minute workshop jam-packed with salient tips that will make you a better writer.

Sponsored by CNW Group, the workshop begins with a quick “refresher” on writing branded articles and why marketing pros are trying to write like reporters. You will discover how to adopt an objective, neutral style and still brand effectively for your organization. Learn why the three most important aspects of an inviting tone include trust-building, helpfulness and engagement. The workshop then moves into exacting tips, easy ways to remember those tips, plus lots of examples to reinforce key points.

Also included will be a draw for four attendees to win a copy of Jane’s recently published The Complete All-Canadian Content-Writing Handbook, intended for public relations and marketing communicators.
