Come join us for a panel discussion on April 1 with two independent communicators who are successfully making money from social media. Our panel will be moderated by AIP's Director of Social Media, Margaret Tanaszi.

Lynda Morris and Joan Vinall-Cox will share how they are making money as social media consultants by using social media as part of their business model. Freelancers will gain insight to social media work opportunities. You will also learn how to make money by using social media as a marketing tool.

Being the Best - Lynda Morris, Business coach/advisor specializes in helping small and medium sized businesses, market using social media. Being the Best creates opportunities for you to develop and grow so that you and your company are the best you can be.

NicLyn -Advanced experience in providing managed I.T. services to small and medium sized business that include: remote and phone support for all users, monthly maintenance done remotely to all serviced computers, security monitoring, help, advice and process development, to help clients reach their goals.

Joan Vinall-Cox, Freelance Writer, Social Media Consultant

Joan blends writing with an up-to-date awareness of (mostly free) web applications. She brings emerging possibilities to light by knowing how to communicate them effectively. She consults on the use of Social Media for businesses and education by presenting, training, writing and editing in this new environment. Her background includes 30 years of teaching Communications in post secondary classrooms, along with 10 years experience using web applications in teaching. Online and in the classroom, Joan shows individuals and small groups how to use web-applications and social media, including online use of text, images, presentations, recorded sound, and webcam videos. She specializes in how to compose audience-oriented media.

Moderator - Margaret Tanaszi, Ph.D., Director of Social Media

Margaret is an independent consultant specializing in research, writing and executive counsel on communication and other factors affecting business - IT productivity. Recently, she has worked with IT World Canada, technology companies and associations to produce custom reports and provide program direction for high-profile technology-related conferences.
